Independent College Counselor

Clients receive personal counseling throughout the high school preparation and college application process with Sami Kramon, an independent college counselor for 23 years, and an English teacher for 29 years. Mrs. Kramon is a member of the Higher Education Consultants Association.

Services (provided in person, by phone, Skype,and email, as appropriate) include:

Explanation of the entire college application process
Advisement on high school academic course selection, extracurricular activities, college visits,and SAT and ACT preparation and testing
Research and recommendations of summer programs that suit a candidate's interests and talents
Unlimited use of our Collegiate Choice Walking Tours DVDs of over 350 colleges and universities in the U.S. and abroad. These unique videos average one hour per college and are literally everything we saw and heard on our visit to each campus
Research and presentation of a list of recommended colleges appropriate to the candidate's interests and qualifications including reach, probable, and safety schools
Provision and explanation of the Application Process Checklist, a step-by-step guide to the completion of all applications
Specific sessions on the essay writing process and the college interview process, including a practice interview (Sami Kramon interviewed for Tufts University and her associate, Clifford Kramon, interviewed for the University of Pennsylvania)
Extensive discussion, evaluation, and proofing of all applications and essays throughout the summer and fall of the senior year until the application process is complete
Unlimited phone and email access to Sami Kramon throughout the process
